Transmission Line Inspection: Field Controls & Compliance Verification
With RAMIRA Energy, transmission line inspection is an independent field control activity performed to verify that site execution complies with the project design, technical specifications and quality requirements. The inspection scope may include verification and reporting for critical elements such as towers/foundations, hardware, conductor stringing and earthing.
Scope of Transmission Line Inspection
1) Tower, Cross-Arm and Foundation Checks
Tower types, foundation workmanship, anchoring and erection compliance may be verified on site in terms of dimensions, alignment and quality of workmanship.
2) Insulators and Line Hardware
Insulator strings, suspension/tension sets, fittings, fasteners and accessories may be checked for compliance with the design and relevant specifications.
3) Conductor Stringing, Tension and Sag Verification
Conductor stringing works, tension values, sag checks, joints/splices, clamp locations and span clearance criteria may be verified in the field.
4) Earthing and Protection Measures
Tower earthing arrangements, continuity checks and protection measures may be reviewed and verified.
5) Site Practice and HSE Observations
HSE conditions, work permits and high-risk area controls may be observed during field activities.
6) Documentation and Traceability
Material certificates, erection records, checklists and field reports may be reviewed for completeness and traceability.
7) NCR and Corrective Action Follow-Up
Identified nonconformities can be reported, corrective actions followed up and closure verification performed where applicable.
8) Reporting
Inspection results are reported with photo evidence, measurement/location references and recommended corrective actions.
